We have the expertise to take a project from design through closeout. We are currently seeking a Field Construction Engineer with Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing experience for a project assignment at Ft. Gordon, GA. A minimum of 2 yrs experience and a Bachelors degree in Engineering is required. A pre-employment drug screen is also required. Responsibilities include: Provide technical support to contractors and review documents submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and company standards; Interpret and resolve questions regarding designs, codes and specifications, as directed by the Project Mgr. Provides technical assistance; assist in the preparation of field design changes and update drawings for field use as required by field conditions and regulations. Prepare reports as required, field purchase requisitions, and procures construction material. Assists the Cost/Scheduling Specialist, as required by gathering, preparing and forecasting manpower, schedule and cost data. Prepare schedules, reviews request for change orders or claims and engages in quantity/quality tracking. Keep personnel informed of engineering progress, requirements, problems, changes, additions and omissions to "scope of work" and similar matters. Monitor work progress for situations which are potential "changed conditions" of the contract; alert Chief Field Engineer, Construction Superintendent and Project Manager of any such areas identified which are or may become a "changed condition".
